The inspiration for Yard Sale came from an unexpected source: vintage coupon books. I kept thinking back to flipping through newspapers as a kid and noticing how even the simplest advertisements carried such distinct personality through colour, typography, and illustration. That nostalgic visual language felt like the perfect creative connection for an event centered around bargains, discovery, and community.

From there, the campaign developed around retro-inspired colours, playful illustrations, and layouts that intentionally referenced the look and feel of old coupon pages. The goal was to create something that felt familiar and nostalgic while still engaging for a modern audience. Every design decision was made to reinforce the charm and energy often associated with finding hidden gems at a classic yard sale.

The campaign expanded across both digital and physical touchpoints, including web graphics, advertisements, billboard applications, and social media assets. To further extend the experience beyond promotion alone, the first 100 attendees also received a branded tote bag designed as part of the event identity system, helping turn the campaign into something tangible and memorable for guests.
