My design process for the Open Mic series began with inspiration drawn from the playful and authentic qualities of crayon drawings. I translated this inspiration into hand-drawn illustrations that highlight the variety of instruments featured at Open Mic, capturing each with a distinct, approachable style that reflects the event’s welcoming atmosphere. To unify the visuals across the series, I developed a custom pattern that complements the illustrations, adding cohesion and enhancing the overall aesthetic. This approach ensures that each piece feels connected while maintaining the vibrancy and spontaneity that define the event.
