Fjell House Branding

Fjell House was created as a conceptual luxury hospitality brand rooted in the feeling of quiet escape within the Canadian Rockies. The goal of this branding was to move away from the overly commercialized side of mountain tourism and instead create something that felt slower, more intimate, and emotionally grounded. Drawing inspiration from Nordic design principles, the identity focuses heavily on restraint, atmosphere, and intentional simplicity.

The visual direction was influenced by natural textures, muted alpine tones, editorial-inspired layouts, and the feeling of stillness often experienced in remote mountain environments. Rather than positioning the property as simply a place to stay, the branding was designed to communicate a sense of retreat and emotional reset. Every element, from typography choices to spacing and colour palette, was approached with the intention of creating a calm and elevated experience.

A major part of the thought process behind Fjell House was understanding how luxury hospitality branding extends beyond aesthetics alone. The identity needed to feel cohesive across both physical and digital touchpoints while reinforcing the emotional tone of the guest experience. Overall, the project explores how branding can shape not only how a destination looks, but how it is remembered.
